Interesting group today at the Sunday morning gathering. Koos strolled in with a Bali tan, still thinking about a hot centre of Australia run, Raider gave his R18 a run, Wightman and Ray discussed stickers and lights and Clayton dropped in from Geraldton. Survey Ross apparently had an apparel change.
Eleven legged it for the scarp convolution run to Gidgie. Rod Rocket Peter, Wightman, Vic, R90s Mark, Ted, Rainer, Fiery Ross, Nannup Nick, Raider, Peter Bee and Bozo did four Bickley Valley crossings including a new run on Palmateer Drive. Taking Fern Road and a run past Mundaring Weir we eagled our way to Alice before cutting across to Toodyay Road. The quick sports bikes cut in and out of our group on O'Brien Road before a run on Reserve got us to Gidgegannup Bakery. Temperatures had been mild up to that point and none were elevated through the intense discussion about Robber Bees, Leafcutter Bees, Lyme Fever, Legionnaires disease, Q Fever, ticks and mammalian meat intolerance.
We ran into K1 Dave (on his high mileage Harley) before a run to Mundaring to end the ride. Temperatures hit the mid-thirties as we hit the Brian/5 weather station at the intersection of Roe Highway and the bypass.
Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie and to a happy group.
