Re: Today DOME KELMSCOTT
Two of us did not let the weather forecast deter us from our usual Thursday ride. From Kelmscott Dome the outbound was the usual route along the railway line through Byford, Mundijong and Serpentine. Up Fisher Rd for a short stint along the S.Western Hwy before passing Bozo’s corner to head up into the hills along Kingsbury. Once climbing into the tree line, the temperature dropped a few degrees.
On past Serpentine dam it was on to try out the Jarrahdale PO & Kitchen. A good selection of pies, sausage rolls and rolls available. Back on the road again to head back via Canning Dam, Canning Mills and down via Gooseberry Hill for home.
Despite the forecast and a planned short ride still ending doing 188 kms and had comfortable conditions until the traffic lights along the last few kms.
Thanks, Peter for leading the out bound leg.
