Entering the Festival Scrum

Post by Bozo »

Another good sized mob at Dome Victoria Park, including Clayton on his car park special, a blue BMW 1200 Rt, all the way from Geraldton.

12 riders survived the Sawyers Valley congestion to do a loop on Talbot West Road and Top Beverley Road to get to the York Motor Cycle Festival. Lots of changes to the layout but it was still a heaving scrum of leather clad men and leatherless ladies. The group included Cameron, Just John, Clayton, David P, AAA Anthony, Goldie, Sam, Andrew + Ellie, Rod Rocket Peter, Peter Bee and Bozo.

Peter Bee led the group to lunch at Bakers Hill before heading home.

Thanks to Peter Bee for being both ride leader and tail end Charlie.

Thanks Bozo for the circuitous route to get to York, will very little interference from young road racers. The Festival was more enjoyable than I expected with more Harleys than I have ever seen, with most with very low riding hours I expect. Plenty of variety to see. The Bakers Hill Pie Shop was almost deserted when we got there which suited us. A pleasant day out.

The scent of numerous leather clad galahs is nauseous

A Dagwood Dog seems to help manage the nausea at these type of gatherings for MMM.
