G'day all,
I'm heading down to Tassie again for about three weeks from mid December to early January and will be based in Dover (approx 40 mins South of Hobart) and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for bike hire (BMW preferably). I will not be able to do the full grand tour, but may be able to pinch a couple of days riding and a couple of scratches whilst I'm there. I know the island fairly well, but have never had the opportunity to enjoy it on a bike and feel like treating myself for my 50th! Any suggestions? Cheers

Re: Bike hire in Tasmania
Hi Nick
I don't know anything about hiring a bike in Tassie - however, I hired a bike from Gardner's in Melbourne and they were terrific. They have a great range and very good service. Sometimes they have one way returns so you never know your luck. Not sure how much to take the bike to Tassie.
Regards

G'day, just found this in Australian Road Rider Magazine:
www.motoadventure.com.au
They claim to be Hobart based, unlimited K's and free riding gear.

Re: Bike hire in Tasmania
G'day all,
thanks for the replies. I've booked myself a 2010 R1200GS for a couple of days through Motoadventure and have to say that the service so far has been great and communication excellent. I'm now just hanging out to get down there and enjoy the Tassie roads on the GS! Cheers
