Northam Flying 50

Post by Cookie »

I plan to take a leisurly ride to Northam after breakfast next Sunday the 3rd April, to watch the vintage car racing and return mid to late afternoon.
Anyone interested is welcome to follow along, it will be sealed roads all the way, around 250 - 300 km return.

Please confirm your interest by Friday, as I have had a few requests to meet at Midland and head off from there around 8am, grab morning tea / snack at Bakershill along the way.

Let me know your preference and the majority will rule.

kind regards
Graeme. :P

Weather turned out great, 8 riders left Catalanos with Lefty turning back to head home from Glen Forrest, leaving 7 riders to take the route less travelled to Northam, winding through backroads and heading in the wrong direction at times - just to keep the followers guessing. The vintage car racing was good - very laid back approach - the line up in the pits was very interesting, with some fine specimens to drool over. Several smaller groups took differing paths back to town, to wrap up another great day.

Cookie :P  8)
ps Mc Farkle made it there and caught up with us as we went across the track, good to see you David and Allan

Hey Cookie,

Thanks for the invite up to the Flying Fifty at Northam. I love your mate's pad overlooking Clackline. Look forward to gandering the finished product. Great day all round with some interesting turns on the way up.

DaveFS brought us home on a really scenic route, twisty roads, only geographically embarrassed once, then back to Wanneroo Road via Chittering Valley.

Here are some photos of various luscious attractions at the event.
