Calling for participants for Motorcycling Survey conducted by WACRSR

Hi all,
We are the WA Centre for Road Safety Research at the University of Western Australia. We've recently joined this forum to gain more insight into motorcyclists and their safety concerns, and are conducting a survey here: https://uwa.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dmMCoDq8FQPgjbM. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
Aim of the Study (What is the project about?)
The aim of the study is to understand the experiences of riders who return to riding after a long break, especially among riders age 50+ years. To identify if their riding differs to those who are new to riding or who continue to ride for many years, the survey is open to all current WA riders. This provides the opportunity to gain a snapshot of motorcycling in WA.
What does participation involve?
You are invited to complete an online 25-minute survey. The questions ask about licensing and riding history, motivations to ride, riding behaviours, use of motorcycle protective clothing, and engagement in rider education and training. There are multiple-choice questions and there are open ended questions at the end where you can provide your raw feedback.
If you are age 50+ and have had a long break from riding in the past, you will also be invited to take part in a semi-structured interview for a maximum of 1 hour. A copy of the interview schedule will be provided, and you can either decline or opt-in by providing your contact details and preferred dates/times for a phone or online interview via Microsoft Teams.
Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal from the Study
It is up to you to decide whether to take part in the survey. If you decide to take part, you can answer as many or as few questions as you like. You are free to stop participating at any time without giving a reason and without consequences. If you do stop partway through the survey, your responses will be removed. As no identifiers are recorded with responses, once you have submitted the survey it will not be possible to identify your responses to remove them.
If invited, opting into the interview also is completely voluntary. If you agree but then change your mind, or progress to the interview and then wish to stop at any time, you can do so without giving a reason and without consequences. You will have the option to review a transcript of your interview, make revisions, or withdraw your responses up to approximately one week later; before the responses have been de-identified and pooled with other interview responses, when it will no longer be possible to identify and remove them.
Your privacy
Participation in the survey is anonymous and no identifying information will be recorded.
If you are invited and opt-in for an interview, a contact name and email address is required to follow-up with you. Your contact information will be recorded in a separate database, which ensures survey response anonymity.
Information from the survey and interviews may be published but will not identify any individuals. The data is required to be kept on a secure server, accessible by a password protected computer, for a minimum of seven years.
Possible Benefits
This research is sponsored by the Road Safety Commission. Your input may shape future road safety policies and supports in Western Australia that better meet the needs of motorcyclists of all ages and levels of riding experience.
Possible Risks and Risk Management Plan
Minimal harm or risk is anticipated. If you think answering questions about your riding, including crash experiences, might lead to emotional discomfort or distress, you should carefully consider whether to continue. In the event of any distress during or after participation, please consider contacting any of the following:
