Thursday September 10 Ride on Friday Sept 11 KELMSCOTT DOME

Post by pspencer »

With the weather forecast to improve later in the week I suggest we push our mid week ride back to Friday. So to give our Southern Members a go and the members not going on the Payne’s Find/Perejori Cook Off Ride I propose to meet at Dome Kelmscott on Friday Sept 11 for a 9:15 ish departure to a DDD.
So leaving Shell Ascot at 8:00 to head down to Kelmscott for a warming coffee.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

DFS has Digger asked a difficult question??
Tail End Charlie (Beemer Dave) and I enjoyed a leisurely coffee at Dome KELMSCOTT and left at 9:40 ish, heading alongside the railway southerly till we hit the SWH north of Keysbrook. Enough of the SWH so down Elliot, Hopelands, Corio and Patterson to Pinjarra.
David had suggested we head towards the Midway Farm Stall on the corner of Paull Rd and the Forrest Highway with the Old Bunbury Rd the chosen route. It was an excellent choice with a wide selection of sumptuous tucker and drinks. An excellent day for riding with 18 degrees, sunshine, minimum wind and green paddocks.
After an interesting discussion mostly about Dave’s future relocation to Thailand to join his wife, we headed back on Paull Rd to the Old Bunbury Rd turned onto Brownes Rd, a new one for both of us, Fisherman’s, Coolup Rd East and Burnside to head towards Dwellingup.
Del Park Rd got us back to the SWH and heading for home.
Thanks Dave for TEC and alternating lead duties and representing the Southerners.
Sorry for the guys who couldn’t make it today as the weather turned out better than Thursday, just. And DFS??
Sunday’s forecast weather looks sweet. See you there.
