Leaving Ascot Gloria Jeans at 7:30am to head South to Dome Byford for a 9:00 am ish departure.
Depending on the weather and general consensus may be a longer ride going south of Collie

The usual crew, missing a few due to lack of their steeds departed GJ Ascot for Byford. Missing the traffic along Albany Hwy travelling via the back roads to Kelmscott, then heading south along Railway Ave to join the SthWestern Hwy after several traffic light changes on Eleventh Rd, to join the remainder at Byford Dome. See facebook for the photos.

All were in favour for the longer ride. Brian/5 offered to lead using Micks suggested trip to go through Collie and on to Frog’s Hollow and Gnomesville via Mumballup.

The ride out from Byford was the usual through Mundajong and down Wright Rd. Road works before Serpentine forced an early deviation via Feast Rd to SthWestern Hwy. On through Pinjarra for a comfort stop in Coolup. Back to the SthWestern Hwy via Valli Rd. A refuelling stop for some at Harvey before carrying on the Colie via Mornington. A stop at Central Park in Collie with most opting for lunch and coffee from The Wagon.

First stop after Collie was Frog’s Hollow, Lowden. Just as we were leaving a shower of rain caused the donning of water proofs. It did not last long, just enough to wet the road to Gnomesville. Then up past the Wellington Discovery Forest on winding roads to Falcon, Lennards and River Roads. Returning down Mornington to Harvey where the majority refuelled. Here we seperate to make our separate routes home. Ideal weather with only a brief rain shower at Lowden and a few spots after Waroona. My round-trip distance for the day was 458kms.

Another day with great company and a good riding on some interesting roads.
Thanks PeterBee for keeping the group together.
