Thursday June 25 MOJOS MUNDARING

Departing Ascot Gloria Jeans at 7:30am for Mojos Café @ Mundaring. Leaving Mojos approx. 9:00am and heading to GOOMALLING

Thanks Astro, didn’t see your generous offer hence my post of this morning.

9 at GJ’S and eventually another 6 at Mojos with 14 on the ride. Astro had kindly offered to lead us on a convoluted route to the Lot 39 Café in Goomalling. We headed along the GEH, diverted through Sawyers Valley, Wooroloo and Wundowie before rejoining the GEH through Bakers Hill and Clackline taking Eadine and the Clackline to Toodyay Rd to hit Toodyay Rd and divert onto Sandplain, Folewood and River Rd to arrive on Julimar heading West. A right turn onto Coondle and another on the Toodyay- Bindi Bindi had us touring through Toodyay and onto the Northam Rd before a pleasant diversion onto Katrine and Irishtown to arrive on the Goomalling to Toodyay Rd and motor into Goomalling and the Lot 39 Café. We were fortunate to have warming sunshine at the outside table at the rear of the café to accommodate 14 of us.
The food and drinks were excellent as per usual as the problems of the world were resolved.
Whilst the majority followed Astro on the return journey to Meckering some headed straight back to Perth. Fuel stop in Meckering prior to heading onto the Quellington, Mannavale, Goldfields Rds to arrive in York and take the GSH to The Lakes servo where the ride finished.
Big thanks to Astro for leading us on a very successful Thursday ride with cool but sunny weather and of course special thanks to Ralph for excellent TEC duties.
