Chris R. and I are towing the GSA's across to Melbourne leaving Perth on Mon 3rd November and leaving the Hilux at McFarkles place on Phillip Island. We catch the Tassie Ferry on Friday evening 7th Nov and the Safari proper starts on Sun 9th (Saturday is a lay day with welcome dinner on Sat night). We tour Tassie over the next 6 days before returning to Perth to arrive back in town around Thurs 20th.
My SPOT link is below.

I am guessing I will produce a video of the Safari...there is usually enough carnage on these trips to make the DVD entertaining. :lol: :lol: There are 220 riders on this one!!!
NB - I think a Club Trailer is a good idea

The GS Safari is over....it finished in Launceston yesterday (Friday). The Stats;
240 participants
3 fatalities, 4 displaced fractures (2 femurs and 2 lower leg), 3 with busted ribs, 1 is now a paraplegic and 2 dislocated shoulders. 4 bikes have been written off and 10 others were so badly damaged they could not finish.

Nah, just kidding!!!!

Chris' bike developed a water pump leak and he had to nurse it to the finish line on the last day. Mine developed that same Final Drive oil weep on day 3 but was able to complete the Safari OK. We catch the evening Ferry back to Melbourne tonight, arrive Sunday morning, collect the Hilux from Phillip Island and should be back in Perth on Thursday evening 21 Nov. The V8's are at P Island this weekend so that will be a ****fight.

Got some good footage so watch this space. We have been absolutely blessed by superb weather although some mornings have been 'brisk' (2 degrees). No rain. Great vistas and great roads and tracks (although a little too much black top on a couple of days).

Go on....get out there!!!!
