Perfect day, with a bit of Spring warmth in the air. Great turn out with 11 at Mojos and 9 on the ride. We all decided Toodyay was a top destination for the day and why should Swampy have it all to himself.
So Eddy, Wes, Nick, Robbie, Ross, Vic, Brian, DFS and I rode off leaving Noel and Steve to do their own thing.
Around and around the back roads of Parkerville, onto Toodyay Rd, Campersic and Haddrill got us via Lancewood onto O’Brien and a comfort stop at the Peter Brock Memorial. Nice Aprilia RSV4 there, they really are a piece of Italian art.
Fernie, Salt Valley, Sandplain and Stirlingia had us gliding into the Swampyless CC Cafe at midday to suit Eddy’s stomach. Great food, great company, warm weather and of course entertaining chatter was very relaxing.
The group disintegrated on the way home with 3 going straight back via Toodyay Rd, 3 dirt boys staying with us on Julimar, then hitting the gravel at Keating Road, leaving 3 of us to access the Tonkin at Muchea and head for our homes.
Thanks to all for a great fine weather, warm day and special thanks to Brian for TEC duties.

Nice Report Pete, But it seems that the early bird catches the worm as I had already come and gone at Toodyay by the time you got there!!

Back from a great break in the bush chasing wildflowers I decided on another solo ride and even after leaving late from home was surprised to see your group still sipping coffee's at Mojo's at 0940 when I rode through Mundaring

I took the Stoneville Road and deviated onto O'Brian Rd. for a nice steady cruise past the Brock Memorial.

Back onto Toodyay Rd. and a lovely steady ride with very little traffic once again into Toodyay where I of course had to take a break for a coffee's and a delicious salad roll served up by lovely young Kelly who informed me she had damaged her car by hitting a bad pothole in the road yesterday, At least that's what she told her dad

Coffee was good enough for a second serve as I soaked up the quiet ambience of the country town.

I guess I just missed your arrival, leaving at around 1130 and taking the scenic ride back through to Northam stuck for a short distance behind a truck loaded with hay, but that was okay as I love the smell of fresh cut hay but soon saw fit to leave the flying bits of straw for someone else to dodge!!

Onto York and saw that the Canola crops that had bought so much colour to the country recently had been freshly harvested leaving rows of chaff in the paddocks!!

I rode on up York Road to The Lakes where I stopped for a short break and another coffee before heading back home via Midland and the Tonkin Highway!!

All in all a very pleasant ride in beautiful weather and another 300 k's on the odometer!!

See you all on Sunday!

He Swamps Ross and I thought we saw you crossing GEH as we herded the mob out of Mojos. Our more circuitous route had us into the CCC at about 11:45 so we just missed you.
It was a beautiful day for a ride as you mentioned.
See you hopefully on Sunday.
