Southerly departure time again, leaving Shell Ascot 8:00 to travel to KELMSCOTT DOME for a 9:00 ish departure. Forecast is 26 degrees, partly cloudy, sounds like BMW meets countryside weather to me.

With the weather looking excellent we had 8 members at Kelmscott Dome with Safety Dave and Wes not coming on the ride but just had to have coffee with us - great.
So it was Nick, DFS, Brian, Robbie and Swampy joining me for a South West lazy journey to Cafe on UDUC Harvey. Swampy was looking unrecognisable in a new charcoal colour AGV helmet, having worn out his white BMW helmet with thinking too much.
We followed the rail line south, using Hopkinson, Bishop, Kargotich, etc to get into Pinjarra, out the Pinjarra-Williams to Burnside for our first 5 minute break as it entered Coolup Rd East. Quiet beautiful place for a stop and enjoy the excellent weather. Crossed the highway into Coolup then the standard Gibbons, Dorsett, Coronation, Somers, Bristol, Johnston, Eckersley, Government and UDUC Rds to hit the cafe at about 11:45 perfect. Highlights of this section of the trip were the hay and silage in various states of harvesting with machinery going flat out and a nice sized Bungarra crossing the road with no interference from 6 BM’s.
The Cafe on UDUC was doing a nice trade but it did not take too long to get our goodies. Very pleasant to relax and chat with the locals walking past.
We retraced our steps on the way back but on Coronation headed East to Waroona and took the Nangas to Dwellingup, which was pretty quiet. We stopped for a 5 minute break on Del Park and bit our farewells to each other.
Thanks guys for joining me on such a great motorcycling day and special thanks to Swampy and Brian for TEC duties.
We all commented how lucky we are to be able to freely travel and enjoy our fabulous WA countryside.

It was my type of ride today Pete!! Great Weather, Great company and a Great Relaxing Steady Ride through the back blocks without having to race to catch the group as I normally have to!!
Well lead and it was great seeing the crops being gathered in and seeing so much action in the paddocks on all the farms we passed!!
The downside was seeing the partially fried egg in my egg and bacon sanger burst open and drop onto my lap.....Sunny side up!!
I guess that means my invitation to tea at your house has now gone out the window
PS. AGV Helmet extremely comfortable and light but a tad noisier than the old BMW lid but then it was only half the cost of a new one from Auto Classic!!
