Is there a ride Thursday May 27? It looks likely tomorrow is the last day I will have the bike before the new owner picks it up and the forecast is for a cracker of a day, 24.

Hi Dave, are you going for a ride or just meet up for a coffee and head home?

Another great day for a ride. Meeting up at Mojo for the ride were Bill, Brian, DFS, Vic, Ross & Beamer. Chris walked down to join us for coffee. Unfortunately, several of us had to get back a bit earlier than usual which meant that we could not fully utilize the great riding weather. Must better having a short ride than none at all. A sad day for Beamer as it was his last one before he sells his bike. As most lived north that was direction decided.

The ride out was through Stoneville. Parkerville and Hidden Valley. A short section of O’Brien road to head to Brigadoon via the woops. For a bit of variety added several loops that were and several that weren’t, with everyone practicing their U-turns. Dropping down from the hills via Weir Road only to find roadworks blocking access to the Gt Northern Hwy. At this point Ross departed to head back home. After a short diversion south we back on track again. A planned deviation to loop past Ellenbrook Speed Way before having a short stop in Bullsbrook to finally decide on destination.. Bill & DFS believed the Café on Chittering Valley Road was a suitable one, not so, as it was closed. As some of us were running out of time we all headed to the new BP Café at the end of Tonkin Hwy in Muchea. This would be a good meeting point for any longer runs that are planned to head north due to its relatively easy access. All enjoyed their food & drinks.

All decided to head home via Tonkin Hwy, peeling off at various points, until I was the last remaining rider. A thoroughly enjoyable ride even though it was a bit shorter than most. My round-trip distance was 181 kms.

Thanks guys, great company and another great ride.
Brian
