A message for you layabouts, old farts, otherwise unoccupied or retired!!
The wet weather appears to have settled in for the next few days and a ride this Thursday looks doubtful unless you are hardcore and have good wet weather gear?
I for one won't be riding on Thursday, However I am prepared to drive up to Mojo's this Thursday at around 0830 for a coffee and a chat with those of you tired of watching the paint fade on your kitchen walls and are looking to get out to meet up with some like minded people for a break!!
Covid restrictions have eased somewhat so we should be okay for small group gathering!
Let us know if your interested or just rock up on the day, the choice is yours!!

What a good turn out this morning again on a relatively fine day at Mojo's!!
Six arrived in the comfort of the 4 wheel variety and five on two wheels. We managed to keep the staff busy with hot drinks and food and with the aid of a handy space heater everyone was rather comfortable! (The heater was for the benefit of the "I'm so tough I would rust" types of course)
Nannup Nick, Brian/5, Peter and Bill C. soon departed for destinations unknown while Nurzo with a young pillion headed for home.
This left Profoundly Disturbed, Wes, DFS, Noel, Scruff and Swampy to solve the worlds problems and it took a little longer then usual as we didn't depart Mojo's until close on 1000 hrs.
However it was good catching up with each other over a coffee or two after a pretty damp week with little chance for outdoor activities and I must say we did it with style!!

Yes we were lucky enough to have B5, Nick, Bill, Nurzo and grandson Curtis join me on a ride in uncertain weather. Our target was Goomalling and we made there and back with only some light showers, but bright sunshine in Goomalling for lunch, very pleasant.
So we left the aged infirm at Mojos and headed through Stoneville, Chidlow, Lilydale and Mayo Rds to Toodyay Rd. Fernie, Salt Valley , Sandplain and River Rds got us onto Julimar for the run into Swampys Toodyay. Toilet break and then glided past the near deserted CC Cafe with no Swampy Clear direct run to Goomalling with the clouds parting to arrive in bright sunshine, just what we needed for lunchtime.
Toasties seemed the choice for all from the Lot 39 Store and Cafe in Goomalling which were very tasty as we discussed the woes of the world. But the sunshine was making us all feel good.
The return trip took us through Jennacubbine, Grass Valley, York, the Talbots with the ride finishing at The Lakes.
So overall the weather was much better than expected and I think the aged infirm could have handled it.
Thanks to B5 for great partial leading and TEC duties. Also thanks to the other brave riders who joined me on a much needed ride.

On the return journey we stopped by the horse statue on Jennapullin Cres ( 31.541390, 116.75699 ) to show it to Curtis. While there it looked like rain was approaching so the wusses ( as stated by Nurzso ) replaced their wet weather gear.
Had no luck trying to finding the history of this wire horse statue. I vaguely remember reading about it a while ago. This may be a good one for Bozo to research as he always comes up with interesting historical and locational morsels. The street view on google maps does not show the statue but you can see its shadow with the satellite view.
This ride definitely fitted the motorcycling axiom it is more the journey and the company rather than the destination.
