The Nannup Airhead Overnighter was another enjoyable weekend away with a like-minded airhead lovers.

I began the ride on my 1962 BMW R69S. It's first long-distance run in the country.

At the regulation stop at Kirup, they even had a drink named after moi 8)

Leaving Kirup, I had a bit of excitement... the left front shock absorber on the leading link came apart.

Luckily, I was just picking up a little bit of speed as I crossed the railway line. All hell broke loose with my steering. Handlebars flapping madly. While I was standing on the side of the road, still a little shell shocked, along came AP, DaveS and son Reece. Before I knew It, they removed the offending shock absorber leaving the bike sitting a little low at the front.

A plan was hatched to get the show back on the road.

Soon after, I arrived at the Nannup Hotel on this little puppy. 8)

A great night with Good Guy announcing his annual Prodigious and Auspicious Award... And MotoGP on the big screen. What a race

In the morning, it was time for the usual gathering of airheads for that photo.

Getting in early...

In closing, many thanks to AP, DaveS and son Reece for aiding me in my time of need.
And to Doug who lent me his R18 to complete the ride... I just want to say, "Thank you. The world is full of good people."
And If it wasn't for Jono, I'd probably still be somewhere outside Upper Capel. Many thanks for getting me home.
What a club we have in the BMW MCC WA!
