"Mumble mumble" the black camels clutch had a hissy fit this morning when I tried changing gears it wouldn't disengage so I couldn't change up and down the gears or put it in neutral. It was a bit stiff with the gear lever initially then it got to the stage I had to stop the motor to get the bike into neutral and then get the revs right to get into gear. I had to travel a couple of ks to get it home which was a bit stressful.
It appears that there is a hydrolic slave or something that is sticking I don't think its the clutch itself as there doesn't appear to be any slipping when the gear is engaged.
I am very lucky this didn't happen out in the sticks last week as it would have been a logistic nightmare to solve. Have organised the RAC to cart the bike to the mechanic

Sounds like the "Camels" Carked it Bill

Very very lucky it happened reasonably close to home mate. I hope it's not too serious.

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Doris has given the camel a tick in the box. :P Took her out for a 150 km ride this morning and there wasn't one whinge, in fact she seemed to enjoy the ride and didn't even have a air hawk on the seat.
Got the Queensland plates changed on Friday. Apparently the bike has been unlicensed since I picked it up. If pulled over it could have meant a infringement in any of the states I had passed thru. The queensland seller should have arranged a license transfer before handing the bike over. Even thou it had another 6 month of licence left, this doesn't matter according to the licensing crowd once money is paid by the new owner the original license becomes null and void and a permit is required with a time limit to ride it home to the local licensing centre .
Anyway when I rang them up to book an appointment, just to book in and get it relicensed I got slugged $80 for a tempory permit from home to the inspection centre, then another $500 to swap plates get the bike inspected and 12 months rego.
