Consider Mitas E7, cheaper about $420 for 2 and not $600, much quieter, and may do as long. I used Heidenau tyres last time, they howl and whine, good wearing, did 27K prob had legal another 3k but took off to do Gasgoyne Junction run. Up to you, worth a look.

Is that what it is?
I would be happy with 10% of 27K

The consensus on k60 s is between 15,000 and 20,000 Kim's

The rear on my 1200 gs has just gone at 17,000 Kim's.

Hoping to get a new one fitted at Pablos tomorrow.

I got 22900 km with my rear Heidenau Scout K60 on my R1200GS.
The front is still going after 27000kms. With the initial new ones there was a whine at around 105kph.
With the new rear and worn front now nowhere near as noisy.

Each to their own I guess.
I couldn't even imagine wanting to try to get that sort of mileage out of a tyre.
Yawn.

But I do have to agree that the K60 is a good wearing tyre. The one I have on at present will give me the most k's I have got out of any tyre.
