Gascoyne Cup Gascoyne Junction Saturday August 22 2015

Post by Bozo »

Time to plan for the 2015 Gascoyne Cup.

The trip is possible completely on good bitumen or with a selection of gravel roads.

The Race Club have set a provisional date of Saturday August 22nd for the Gascoyne Cup.

My plan is to leave on Thursday afternoon and head straight up the Indian Ocean Highway stopping at Geraldton and then staying Friday at Carnarvon, Gascoyne Saturday and returning via Kalbarri.

Last year was a brilliant ride either on the bitumen or the gravel.

Hi Patrick,
You will get more Rocking and Rolling then you could handle if you follow Jamie through the centre of the causeway like last year

I'll be going... will be looking to tag along with a dirt crew. If there's been a decent downpour in the days before, the 1600 will be given a nice run up the highway instead.

I am planning to slip out of metro Wednesday evening, camp at Coondle overnight, then exploring Mt Augustus and Kennedy Rangesas we head North via minor black top and dirt roads Thurs + Fri, call into the races Sat, slip away late afternoon, camp out and then scoot home Sunday. There will be a mixture of dirt and black top roads, with bush camping, let me know if you are thinking of tagging along :)
