We are all a common brotherhood, so just tag along. Bring a tent and emergency "supplies". You can try to call the Border Village Roadhouse and book a room for the Saturday night, 1 August (9039 3474) or just pitch a tent. The whole idea of the long journey is to be at the border on the Saturday night. The event is actually called the "Meeting" We will tell you all about it at the Campsite just after the sign heralding the 90 mile straight, on the Friday night. Most people leave early on the Friday morning to get there before dark. You can go via Kalgoorlie but it is 100kms longer than the Hyden Norseman road. The Hyden Norseman road is usually the road of choice unless there has been recent rain on it.

Cheers John

Great: I'm on The RT..............so I'll be Poncing along the Blacktop.
I'm Guessing The Hyden Norseman route is a GS thing. At this stage I'd be scooting to Coolgardie then skip the Kal Turnoff and straight thru to Norseman.
Roger on the Friday Night Meeting at the 90 Mile Straight.( Before dark)

Haven't cleared any of this with my misses..................short of some stuff like a Wedding Ive forgotten about I'll be there.

Cheers..........Spandau Ballet

I'm going to try boiling a brew on the tank as it has a nice flat area for the kettle. So anyone for tea and scones along the way.
Trouble I have Bully is trying to work out how long it will take to get there at below sub sonic speed. I guess at below sub sonic you will actually see the law enforcement officers along the way.
Also maybe I'll be able to enjoy the scenery which won't be a blur

Bozo, I have only just got mine and I'm pretty excited about it. Mines Via the NSW Coppers/then a WA Policemans private Sled/ then a Ural Outfit fella who thought it was Pretty Terrible  ......what the heck?????........(one things for sure this bikes passed to the DARK SIDE now!!)
...........I think it was a Bit too "Optimus Prime" for him, he said he had a Harley in the other shed so I stopped listening to him after that

His loss is my gain I figure and like Chalton Heston with his rifle you will have to prize that bike out of my "dead cold hand"
It's simply the Best Bike I've ever owned and it makes me smile just thinking about it................

Sounds like I might need a Name Tag,thats a terrific idea as I'm crappy with names(sometimes my own). I reakon I can get the Bike, the Name Tag and myself back to Northam on Monday before anyone at my medium security "aged care facility" realises I havn't been down in the TV room.

Sounds like a Party at the Border and I'll be sure to bring some Spandau Ballet 12 inch remixes on a thumb drive. I'm on a RT-P so of course I dont have anything to play the thumb drive on. Hopefully someone at least has stumped up the Cabbage to get BMW's awesome fairing mounted "Juke Box/Karaoke" unit

You blokes should start your own Border Run thread and stop hijacking mine....this is for serious Adventure Riders (only) and all this talk about speed, scones, black top, name tags and RT's is starting to bring me down.
