at better way to celebrate WA's midsummer atop the glorious Billiburning Rock, 350 kms NE of Perth. We intend to meet at Farrells at 8.30am on Thursday 17/12, heading past our July dinner venue, Goomaling, Dowerin and then on to Cadoux to refuel. Then on to Burakin and Mollerin before taking the 12 km dirt road to the rock itself. We have heard nothing but praise from club stalwarts Mike and Isabelle who sing its praises.... Expressions of interest are welcomed. If we hear that a heatwave is forecast we go anyway!
It's time to get out of that lethargic state!

It dosent look to bad at that end for rain unless you get a strong tropical feed. Perth end looks wetter.
Have a go you whimp, its the North Eastern Wheatbelt where it dosent rain much but every now and then it pours!
It will be nice and green after the opening rains and if the wind comes up it will be bonfire weahter cos it will be cold!
I used to farm on the other side of Lake Moore so know the area well.
Have to to the other farm this weekend to renovate the old cottage so will be think of you!
Mind you at the moment the old cottage is abit breeze and the roof still leaks a bit, might get hat sorted this weekend.
Much prefer to be goiong NE though!
This sounds like a good one. We nearly made it in June but abandoned due to rain. I will try to make this one, probably on the R80G/S or maybe the R100S, or... oh it doesn't matter!
I should be able to sneak away around 2.00pm and back by 10 ish the next day. first biggish ride since the camp cook off Being the inaugural winner of the best veg dish at the cook off I think its appropriate I bring 5kg of potatoes, alfoil, sour cream and maybe some chopped herbs. Providing there is a fire available Be warned the bar has been raised
I have some serious work going on, not even getting the bike to Sunday breakfast these days let alone out for a couple of days. Not sure if Robin will be there, because he is supposed to be here with me on the 18th according to plans. Unless he knows something I don't
Enjoy the ride guys, wish I could make it but there is no chance this side of February.
Checked with the local BP distributor on credit card fuel pumps for AH fuel.
These are located at Kalannie, Koorda, Beacon, Wongan Hills.
You need a credit card that has a PIN allocated to it to operate the pumps.
Probably only have unleaded, may not get 95 or 98 grade.
Questions: RE Billiburning Rock Ride
Hi,
I just joined the club and have only met a few people at the Blessing of the Bikes at Caversham recently. I have travelled quite alot on my R 1200GS (30,000 Km since March this year) but my dirt riding has been restricted to sealed and reasonable good gravel roads.
Questions:
Is this ride open to riders that have not ridden with you before?
Are the roads reasonably good as my confidence in poor dirt roads is not good?
Do you camp out overnight?
