Apparently the Rubber Cow (gummy cow) reference comes from the days of the twin shock airheads. The rear suspension anchored off the relatively light weight subframe and the resulting box snapped geometry was notoriously flexible. (The box being sub frame mount to suspension mount to axle to swing arm pivot). The newe GS uses a triangular geometry for the rear suspension and has eliminated the Rubber Cow effect.
So I concur with Digger's assessment.
