Bead breaker

Hi guys
What are members using to break the bead on tyres
Changed a tyre at home over Christmas tried lots of things ,side stand ,car ,etc to no avail ,ended up using a 4 meter structural column a small piece of timber and wedging and levering off a back of a trailer not very practical carrying a stucture beam around
Changed another tyre yesterday ,with more success I pulled out a DVD I bought a couple of years ago at the Horizons unlimited meeting after Grant gave a demo on changing tyres a great DVD which covers just about all scenarios
Anyway what are people carring for those difficult times
Tyre pliers look good ,smallish and light any thoughts

FF to 2 minutes 30 seconds. They come smaller and more compact for strictly MC use. I think Wilks would swear by them as well.

I use to do the 'ol timber lever under the car trick but it was a lot of work (when home).

I also have these from Tyrepliers (below link), although rarely carry them these days and instead use the Motion Pro levers.

I bought Tyrepliers after a weekend tussle with a Heidenau K60 on the rear of the GS800 a fair few years ago. Never used in anger after that....

I had the Tyrepliers but traded them in....too fiddly and time consuming to use. You have to unscrew it completely, move it around the rim, screw in, unscrew completely, move around the rim and repeat several times. They are also a little heavy. Just sayin' is all.

I have not used this particular one and not sure of size and weight.
However I have used a larger version of this style of bead breaker on agricultural and earth mover tyres.
They normally have a good strong drive to get the bead off with little effort.
Most likely get it for a better price if you ebay it or google it.
If you are handy with a welder and grinder I am sure you could build your own to a size and scale that suits.
