See what I mean...
FWIW, the name Talon is a French baby name. In French the meaning of the name Talon is Sharp. Of course, the usual meaning of the word "Sharp" may not apply on this forum.

Measure for measure I’d say “it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant”

Hi DR63...you gotta get out more.
My Giant Talon(s) have taken me thru Thailand (4 times), Cambodia, Vietnam (3 times), Burma, Singapore, Malayasia, Tasmania, SE WA, Hainan Island (China), followed the Rhine River and not to mention it’s taken me to the local shops a couple of times. I’m currently completing a trip touring Sri Lanka.
Aren’t you glad you asked. :P

I now see the significance of the Falken beer in tour de mongrel dog.
I was on my way to Eagle Street Pier when stopped by the Giant Talon.
My understanding of Talon is that it sorts out rats and mice.
My French dictionary has talon as heel. The bike name may have come from Montrer les talons.....to show a clean pair of heels.

I can see this Thread going in the same direction that BillB’s did a week ago...
Like I said before...see what I mean.
This Thread is doomed just like all the others.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

There were quite a few people at the Homestead Cafe next to the Bakery. I think it does better coffee as well as wraps and toasties. I was happy with my pie. There were also a knot of motorcycles down the hill at Twinkles. Trip Advisor rates Homestead House as the best place to stop. Good to know for next time.
