The Munjina Nanutarra Road is very narrow through the Hammersley Ranges and this bit is bitumenised. Want you don't want to meet is a road train expecting you to know its coming because you have been warned on Channel 40. I struck this road train 15 minutes after the narrow bit and on another short section of bitumen where the road crosses the Marandoo Railway.
After overnighting at Tom Price I headed to the southern side of Karijini. A lot of the road is bitumen but the best bits are accessible by gravel. I had been warned about the road to the Eco Village and the Oxer Lookout. The road was more corrugated than the picture shows and there were some rocky rises but the GSA handled the track well.
Next stop in Karijini was Dales Gorge and the associated Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls

I then left the park and headed to Munjina (Auski Roadhouse) to refuel before heading to Hedland. On the way I ducked into the Albert Tognolini Lookout in Munjina Gorge. A worthwhile 5 minute diversion. The road through Munijina Gorge is in the middle of the picture and is a magic ride on a bike descending through the sheer walls.
Marble bar was surprisingly clean and quiet. The Ironclad Hotel and the Bar General Store are opposite each other at the bottom of the main street. The Ironclad Hotel is most likely named after the successful Ironclad Gold Mining Lease to the North West of the town.
After Marble Bar I headed down to Whim Creek to the iconic cyclone prone hotel.
A bit of local knowledge encouraged me to take the unsealed Roebourne Wittenoom Road to Python Pool in the Chichester Range. The first part of the road was being graded and all of the Karratha LGA section was in excellent condition.
