Tassie Ride Nov 2010

Post by Feralphantom »

Gday everyone, New member Mick Walker aka feralphantom.
Still figuring out whos who, but plan to do the Sunday coffee when back in town.
Anyway, planning a ride to Tassie in Nov, riding to Melbourne on my own, fun police gets to fly there.
Has anyone got any tips on places to see in Tassie, going to there for 8 days so a little pushed for time but planning to do the island clockwise from Devonport.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi Feralphantom

Welcome to the forum and when you get back to town remember to call me so we can catch up.
My policewomen thinks the time can be used to do shopping in Melbourne instead of riding across as well.

Hi, if you look at the ride reports tab on the home page you will see a link to a ride report by Ben, we did 10,500 km to tassie and back, 10 days on the island.
It may give you some ideas and if you come to sunday breakfast we can have a chat and give you some pointers.
Cheers

Lifeguard at Scarborough, Andreas Kolm, did Tassie last year. So if you're down that way, ask him. I lived there years ago. It's all brilliant. Eight days is not enough.
