Another Thursday ride planned – a dry one due to the absence of Swampy

Meeting at 8:00 for 8:30am departure
Route to be decided on the day dependent on weather, rider preferences & what Peter can offer.
See you

Ride Thursday 17th January
Re: Ride Thursday 17th January
Hi Brian
I’m up for a ride on Thursday. It looks like the best day of the week for it.
I take it it’s a tarmac ride and I will give the neglected K1300 a run.
If you are thinking of going on some dirt let me know and I’ll switch
Either way see you at the meet point
Regards
Bill

Yes try we stick to the sealed roads unless dirt by agreement. A few occasions my gps has led me astray.
I am hoping Peter will have a ride planned.

Hey guys I’m thinking of a tortuous route ending up in Beverley for lunch. All bitumen no gravel. See you at the Caltex SS.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Re: Ride Thursday 17th January
The Super Seven left the Caltex SS in High Wycombe with the peak temperature of 30 degrees expected. We headed up through Helena Valley, Hovea, Darlington, Glen Forrest, Parkerville ( past Ross’s new abode), Stoneville and Chidlow with Liberton Rd our first chance to blow the cob webs out of the Boxer and K engines.
Ross, Bill, Wes, Noel, Steve, Brian and Peter were all in fine form as we glided through Wooroloo and Wundowie to hit Inkpen Rd to lead to Yarra and Talbot Rd West. We were greeted in Beverley with approx 20 other riders on mixed brands at the selected coffee shop. Fortunately our impressive seven soon had them leaving and we got stuck into food and drinks.
Following a relaxed lunch we hit hit Top Beverley Rd on route to York for refueling. We used Talbot road to retrace our morning ride to Wooroloo where we took Bailey road onto Toodyay Rd to end up in the Gidgegannup Bakery for afternoon tea.
We parted company here to each head home. Thanks to Brian for TEC duties and the others for great company on a mild summer ride.
