Ride this Thursday!!

Post by Swampy »

Anyone up for a frosty but fine Winters day ride meet me at the Dome in Mundaring at 0900 this Thursday for coffee & chat before heading somewhere?

I think Peter is coming and he usually pretty good at planning rides on roads not normally traveled! 8)

So if you can force yourself out from under those cosy warm doona's I will see you then :P

I’ll be there with hopefully a suitable planned ride. Leaving Shell Ascot at 8:15 am to join Swamps at Mundaring Dome.

Sorry guys will not be able to join you this week.

Last Thursday I went for one unannounced from Mundaring.
Missed most of the rain but there was a bit of fog/mist and a lot of road spray.

Hope the weather turns out ok for you.

What a great ride today. Six riders,a brisk morning and a good ride through Chittering Valley and Dewars Pool road to Toodjay for lunch. After a whistle stop at Toodjay lookout we headed for Sandplain road then the almost never ending winding Fernie road and back on to Toodjay road for a quick refuel for Swampy and myself where we bade farewells. Thanks to our ride leader for an interesting ride and thank you Swampy for tail end Charlie duties.

Yes guys although temperatures went from 5 to 17 degrees C the weather was better than expected. The route was a compilation of Bozo’s rides 5, 12, 14 and half of 17. Ha Ha just enough of a mix match of other rides to make it interesting. Thanks to Bill C, Steve, Ross, Dave and Swampy an entertaining ride and lunch occurred. Thanks Swampy for TEC duties.

Thank you Steve, Bill C, Ross, Dave and Peter for joining up for an interesting and varied ride so I must also give my thanks to Bozo for his input that Peter put to such good use today!!

Quite chilly this morning coming through past the Weir at 4 C but a welcome hot coffee soon warmed me up while the group gathered at the Dome.

A great group of guys with a fantastic sense of humour made the stops we made an enjoyable occasion with plenty of good natured banter and teasing being shared around among'st the 6 of us!!

Got home around 1530 after traveling a terrific variation of roads and locations in good company. 8)

My Thursday rides are precious to me as they are numbered now as I rejoin the work force again in the next few weeks if the Public Service wallah's ever get their act together, so thanks again for the company today guys!! 8)
