Nannup Weekend Ride UPDATE: 5-6 October 2019

As posted on other forums I have cancelled the ride on the 21-22 September and the NEW DATES are 5th-6th OCTOBER 2019.

My apologies to those this adversely affects!!

So we start over and I am looking for someone willing to lead hopefully a large group of riders to Nannup and return?

Those of you still interested in what should be a great weekend away please let us know by posting your interest on this forum!

Swampy the new dates suit me so I’m in! I will try to apply the pathetic grey matter to a route to Nannup. But I am biased to a bitumen route so the GS brigade may apply their grey matter to a dirt route. Stay tuned for a possible route which of course is always subject to the majority preference.

PETE HAS ORGANISED A TERRIFIC RIDE THROUGH SOME SCENIC BACK ROADS THROUGH TO NANNUP AND WILL BE POSTING SOME DETAILS OF THE ROUTE VERY SHORTLY.

As Swampy mentioned I have created a route to get us in a roundabout way to and home from Nannup. I have blatantly based it on the previous trip to Nannup, which I believe everybody enjoyed, with some minor differences to keep everybody awake.
So leaving the servo at North Dandalup at approx. 9:15am, SATURDAY OCTOBER 5 the proposed route is summarised as follows:
1. Del Park Rd to Dwellingup, Nanga and Nanga Brook Rds to Waroona.
2. West of the SWHighway south to Wokalup onto Mornington Rd.
3. Hit Collie with lunch at Jax Corner Deli & Diner. 162 kms from North Dandalup.
4. Out of Collie onto Preston and Mcalinden Rds to Boyup Brook.
5. Boyup Brook to Bridgetown with a cleansing ale at Scott’s Tavern. 105 kms from Collie.
6. Bridgetown to Nannup with a small diversion South. 60 kms from Bridgetown.
TOTAL DISTANCE NORTH DANDALUP TO NANNUP APPROX 327 kms.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 6
1. Vasse Hwy, then the Cundinup Rds to Kirup.
2. Brookhampton Rd etc to Donnybrook Boyup Brook Rd turning north onto Ferguson.
3. Possible early lunch stop at Bush Shack Brewery. 102 kms from Nannup.
4. Ferguson, Pile and Plenty Rds to SWH at Burekup.
PROPOSED RIDE END HERE WITH ALTERNATIVE ROUTES TO PERTH TO SUIT INDIVIDUALS.

So that’s where I’m at. Please offer alternative routes if you prefer.
As Swampy requested please advise on the Forum your intention to attend.
The last Nannup trip was a gas so please join us for a memorable weekend.

Good onya Scruff!! Looking at approx. 13-14 bikes plus a couple of pillions at the moment

Are any Committee Members committed to joining us on what could be the ride of the year??

Peter has planned what promises to be a very interesting and exciting route South with an another great ride home on Sunday through a large variation of Hills,Valley's and winding back roads!!

Those Off Road fraternity wanting to join in some fun and frivolity and not into the Black Top please make your own arrangements for a Dirt Road trip into the lovely South west!!

Terrific Riding weather is Forecast for the weekend but as usual it may pay to pack some wet weather gear in case the forecasters are throwing a "BULLS" eye on the weather board again
