I'm interested in riding this Thursday. Can I meet you south somewhere, save me riding an extra 180 kilometres round trip.

Dave
We hope to also meet up with Herman.
What I suggest is at the Pinjarra Dome.
I haven't worked out times yet possibly around 10:00 to 10-30
Hope that works for you.

Hi Guys, May join you on the ride but will see how my leg holds up for the trip?
May have to bail out part way but will see on the day!

Hi again Digger,
Had a torn ligament in right knee at work 2nd Dec so on Workers Comp. Operated on it last Friday as not improving. It was delayed as essential paperwork was not completed by HR Dept. Of Justice and forwarded to Govt. Insurance Office until early last week
Won't see Specialist again until early next month as he is now on leave for a couple of weeks. What he decrees will decide if I go back to work or not but don't plan to spend too much longer at work anyway as I have my BMW now and retirement is beckoning for a second chance and more mid week rides
Meanwhile keep sending us peasants the great pics and stories from Taiwan and watch out for "Giants" on the road!!

Re: Thursday Ride January 23 2020 KELMSCOTT DOME
Well what a great day was had by all, with my odometer showing a 500km ride in perfect weather.
Eddy, Swampy, Nick, Steve, Brian and I headed out of Dome Kelmscott up the Darling Range taking Canning Mills and Canning Rds, Brookton Hwy and Gairdner Rd to get us down into Araluen and past Canning Dam. We glided down the Albany Hwy, heading towards Jarrahdale and Serpentine Dam. Kingsbury Drive led us onto the SW Highway down to Pinjarra Dome where we picked up Herman and Dave and continued towards Coolup. We took the back roads down to Wokalup where a short sprint on the SW Highway had us onto Mornington Rd headed towards Collie.
Tanks were topped up at Collie, and we descended down past Wellington Dam to ended up in the Ferguson Valley and the Bush Shack Brewery for a well earned break, food and refreshments. A table on the veranda in pleasant low 30’s was our location to discuss all the important issues of the world.
With good food and cool drinks refreshing our young bodies we hit the road to head home along Henty Rd and the SW Highway. The group parted and various routes were taken to return each to their loved ones.
Only minor issues of a few wrong turns (when I was leading), leaving a wallet and phone at Dome, loosing a rider for a while were all satisfactorily resolved. A great day!
Thanks to Brian for partial lead and Swampy for TEC duties.

Yes it was a terrific ride in great company with thanks to Peter for his lead again
Leg held up well so all was good and also it was terrific to hear a relieved rider able to retrieve his wallet and the end of the day thanks to the honesty of the staff at Kelmscott Dome!!
Eddy may have an interesting tale to tell all from last Thursday's ride but being the shy retiring type you may have to coax him a little to reveal all
Thank you Herman for the photo's and a terrific group to ride with!!

A great day out on some nice roads and wide variety of country side. Very enjoyable thanks to our tour guides of Peter and Brian. A good but messy lunch of Korean crispy chicken wings with hot sauce, they were literally finger lickin' good. Anyone who needs dietary advice on good eating should refer to Swampy
. A special mention and thanks to Peter for his help from a nameless one who for some inexplicable reason had no money.

Nice One "Nannup" Nick!!
Swampy, Dietry advice??.....I may let the cooking oil cool on that one mate!!
But it certainly looked like YOU enjoyed your meal with hot sauce spread from ear to ear, Hope it came out in the wash??
You should also let someone near and dear know that for those riders fortunate to have hair on their head that no amount of money spent on styling will ever protect you from "Helmet Hair"
It's all about priorities I guess but they missed a good ride with the cream of the crop!!
