To cater for our Eastern and Northern Suburbs mates we will meet at Mundaring Dome for an approx 8:45 departure then proceed to Joondalup Dome to arrive there at approx 9:30 to 10:00. From there head North then over to Gingin more North to Mogumber, then Calingiri to hit Toodyay for lunch.
So leaving Shell Ascot at 7:15 to head up the hill to Mundaring Dome. Now DDDD.
We expect to see our Northern Friends at JD so please get off the couch and join us on a forecasted mild day.
Thanks to Brian5 for suggesting route for the day.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Thanks Swampy for replying and look forward to seeing you in Toodyay. Hope knee is recovering quickly.
It would be nice if any Northern based riders are intending to meet at JD, to at least justify going to JD.

I should be there at Ascot in time, but if not, I'll see you all at Mundaring Dome.

Re: Thursday Ride January 30 MUNDARING DOME then JOONDALUP D
Thanks Peter another great ride.
Three of us ( Peter, Nick & Brian ) departed from Ascot, meeting up with Ross in Mundaring for a coffee before departing to Joondalup.
The ride out was via Parkerville, Brigadoon and Bullsbrook. We became temporary residents of Upper Swan to cut straight through to Neaves Road via Railway Parade.
A quick stop in Joondalup to pick up Eddy & Vic. It was then out via Old Yanchep Road and Military Road. After a comfort stop in Gingin it was then on to Mogumber and then a right turn to head east to the Highway 95 and up to New Norcia and on to Calingiri. The timing was such that we could not meet up with Swampy in Toodyay for lunch.
We eventually found the Calingiri general store & coffee shop which was not on the main road. Before dismounting we were warned that barrister coffee was off the menu due to a power outage as the shop was running on a generator. The group was happy to settle for cold drinks and toasted sandwiches. The café had an enjoyable atmosphere and is definitely worth another visit.
For the trip home the Northerners reversed the trip to head home directly to their northern suburbs. The remainder four carried on via Bolgart to Toodyay where Ross parted for a refuelling stop.
Thanks all another great day out riding. My odometer showed 440kms for the trip.

Brian thanks for the idea for the route and for TEC duties and of course the detailed ride report. Thanks to the team for making it an interesting and enjoyable ride in almost cool weather. Yes the Calingiri General Store is worth a future visit.
