Phillip Island GP trip Oct 2010
As some of you in club may have heard, I am organising a trip tp the GP on Phillip Island in October.
I think that a group of 10-12 would be ideal, if we get more commitment than that there is no reason anyone should miss out.
Even if you don't want to go to the GP itself, Phillip Island at this time is THE place to be on a bike!
I plan on leaving on Saturday the 9th of October, and after we hit Adelaide, going down through the Coorong, Great Ocean Rd and take the Ferry from Queenscliffe to Sorrento. From there its about 1.5 hours to the Island.
Rhyll on the Island is my real home, so there will be accomodation for those who are part of this trip as my guest. You can sleep in the house or camp in the shed or on the block, your choice.First in best dressed. We can all chip in for food and drinks a required.
If you wish I can organise a great ride on fantastic roads to Wilsons Promontary, whichis abot 250 kms return on not to be missed roads.
Leave for home would be either Monday or Tuesday, planning to be back on Saturday the 23rd.................ready for work Monday.
I am planning a relaxing time away, if you would like to join me please let me know.Cctober will be here quicker than you realise!
Cheers,
David McAdam

Hello David,
Put me down as a 95%, Saturday 9th October is my youngest daughters 18th birthday, family has approved leave in principal.
Leave from work will not be an issue with this much notice.
Kind regards
Graeme.

Hello Dave,
Following a very enjoyable Border run, I am 100% onboard for Phillip Island trip - we should gather the prospective riders for a coffee.

Hi Cookie,
Are you going for Coffee this Sunday? If we get all the suspects there, except Eric he's in Melbourne ,we can have a chat.
At this stage we look to have 6 going and a couple of possibles. Accomodation and a lunch with my mum is booked. The ride across will be great, but the high country will take your breath away!
Cheers,
McFarkle

Hi Dave.
I am due to have the operation on my left hand on 27th August so hopefully I should be good for October. Surgeon is not to happy about thoughts of dirt roads so I may have to take another route if you go via some gravel.
Looks like I am in

Dave, is there an opportunity for some of us to join you to say Norseman or the border? Which route do you plan to take between Perth and Norseman? I cant get away for the complete duration as you have indicated due to work commitments but I might be able to elude my responsibilities for a couple of days (maybe border run and return). Besides someone needs to make sure you are really going

Fraser Range, maybe a bit further first day. Would like to go across from Hyden but we have a couple of RT's with us so probably around the bitumen. The plan is pretty fluid, but we plan to be on Phillip Island mid-late afternoon on the Wednesday. The real fun begins when we head for the high country on the Saturday morning..........
An escort/company out of the state would be fine!
Cheers,
David

Hi Dave
I'm keen and have locked away the dates to go. I'd be on the K1300S & hanging with the bitumen gang.
Will be out of town most of Sep but hoping to catch-up/discuss at some stage prior... Looking forward to some fun in the Vic high country (on the hard top sections).
Cheers

Hi Dave
The ride sounds amazing
While I can't get away for the full trip (this time!) would be keen to ride with the group for first two days before I turn back to Perth.
