Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Hi All, I managed to catch up with Chieko and Simon Keller this morning over another matter but more about that later!!
I am pleased to report to you that the Keller Family are keeping well and I learned that Chieko has taken over from Paul and is a regular visitor to the BMWMCCWA Forum to stay in touch with what is happening with the club!!
Still waiting for someone to jerk McGowans strings so we the great unwashed can find out if we are facing further Covid restrictions or not??
However reports from the Federal Gov. say we have had new cases at the moment!!
Fingers crossed guys and girls.

Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Looking forward to Catching up with you again Hermann, Meantime Peter has come up with another interesting route which will include taking in the new mural at Wellington Dam.
We are booked into Collie for lunch and hope to arrive in Nannup around 1630 hrs.
It appears we have quite a few travelling down with us so the Corner Marking System will need to be in operation, however this will all be explained to everyone before departing Saturday morning.
Saturday evening dinner will be at the pub at around 1830 hrs. Breakfast on Sunday morning breakfast for those interested has been booked into a Cafe a few metres down the road !!
A return route has been planned and plotted by Peter for those wishing to return in a group!!
The weather is looking good for us, no rain forecast so here's to a a good ride with good company and plenty of laughs!!
See you bright and early Saturday folks!!
Regards

Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Hi All, I just received this email from an esteemed and great club member in Geraldton which I wish to share with you!!
Hello Swampy and Guy,
Once again my sincere apologies for missing out on this weekend's ride, I am currently sitting here in (currently wet) Hedland thinking of everybody getting ready and psyched up for a lovely ride south to Nannup, and I am just very upset that I can't be there.
Please rest assured, this lack of organisation on my part won't happen again, I will be sure to make it next time.
All the best to you and the crew for a great ride and for lot's of merriment on Saturday evening, Have a great time
Clayton Cream.
For those of you that don't know Clayton and there can't be many of you, He has always put himself out to make sure he attends the BMWMCCWA Rides Away and Major Functions that are held over the past few years.
It's a long ride down from Geraldton and return for Clayton and sometimes his wife and pals so it really just go's to show what an avid BMW rider and dedicated club member Clayton is!!
I am sure those of us attending this weekends ride will spare a thought for him and will miss his presence and good company!!
Regards

Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Well Folks, The weather gods have looked favourably on Guy's Airhead Overnighter to Nannup with the weather for Nannup forecast to be 20C and Sunny on Saturday and for a rather cool 10C overnight before a glorious 21C for our return journey on Sunday
As this ride has been initiated by Guy, I think it is only fair that we all collectively call on him to take centre stage Saturday evening and give a Welcoming SPEECH to all of us in attendance!!
So c'mon Guy, No excuses or ducking and weaving we will be expecting you to speak for no less then 5 mins as we your adoring public deserve no less from you!!

Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Thankyou Guy for igniting the fuse on another explosive BMWMCCWA weekend away!!
Very nicely handballed too mate but was happy to help you out!! Kudos to Peter Spencer for heeding my plea for his assistance to draw up and arrange an entertaining route into our south west and once again to so capably lead the ride!! Well done mate, your a legend!
Our thanks also go to our esteemed President Mr. Graeme Cooke Esquire for taking it upon himself to hitch JonO's trailer to his car to follow the group up hill and down dale throughout the weekend in case an Airhead expired. Well Done Mr. President!!
Spacey was successful in obtaining a spot for his GS on the trailer after nearly shredding his front tyre on the way south and enjoyed a chauffer driven weekend in air conditioned comfort with Graeme!!
The trip south was uneventful apart from a lapse in corner marking occurring soon after departing Wellington Dam and it's fantastic looking mural, This caused some minor discomfort to a few of us for a while, However we were soon regrouped and arrived at our destination the Nannup Hotel around 1630 hrs.
Robin on his immaculate R1800 made a stellar appearance outside the hotel albeit only for a brief stop before heading for home again after first cruising out to Bindoon before heading south to say G'day!!
He apparently has a hot date with his now repaired THIRD 1250 Rallye GSA after he destroyed the rear suspension after only 5000 kilometres
Extremely well done to Bemer Dave who after only recently receiving a shoulder replacement made an inspiring effort to ride to Nannup to join us!!
You are as tough as old boots cobber but smell much worse at times my friend!!
Nannup Nick deserves a mention after sacrificing a few extra wonderful days holiday relaxing in Broome to come for a ride with us!!
You certainly have earned and deserve your nickname Nick
We had a lovely couple from Geraldton travel down especially for this weekend so well done to you guys, You are good company and hopefully will be able to join us for some of our major social events later this year!!
It was an excellent group of riders and their partners who gathered together and made this weekend a fun time in good company. (Sorry Clatyon!!)
As usual it you guys and girls that help make this the best bike club by far in W.A. I hope you enjoyed the weekend!!
Approx. 25 bikes were parked outside the Melo Velo Tearooms for breakfast this morning and being forewarned had extra staff on duty to cater to our motley crowd of misfits as we gathered to fuel our bodies for the ride home!!
A pleasant uneventful ride via a different route saw us eventually part company to make our way home!!
Thank you all for a great weekend!!

Re: Nannup Air Head Ride!!
Thanks to all who managed to attend the Airhead overnighter, we had perfect weather for the two days as well a rather good turnout, the Albany Vintage Classic MCC put on a good showing, as they do, great to see Bob Rees there with his R100 sidecar.
Was really a test run to gauge the response, the event was fairly well advertised, was hoping a greater turnout from lesser known Airhead owners that lurk within the community, sure there are plenty out there, though we managed a rather respectable showing of twenty Airheads, as well a similar showing of envious BM owners with their non Airhead machines, so all in all am rather pleased, will have to do it again next year.
Special thanks to Swampy for kickstarting the group ride, & everyone was most impressed with Pete Spencer's effort's in organising & leading the ride....& not to forget Cookie our illustrious leader who towed down the breakdown trailer, most fortunate for Nev & his oilhead, though to be fair, it was a tyre blowout.
Was a lovely two days of easy very scenic motorcycling, everyone had a great time, even having to listen to Nick snoring his head off was just part of the adventure.
Don't forget......Airheadcool
