Eight riders headed out past the airport and through Helena Valley for another foray into the wheatbelt. Rod Rocket Peter, Andrew, Multimedia Mark, Sophie, Firey Ross, Dane, Just John and Bozo were travelling well until a nail in Bozo's tyre was spotted at the Lakes. With help from Just John and Multimedia Mark, the offending nail was removed, the hole reamed, a plug smothered in glue, plug inserted and tyre re-inflated in around ten minutes.
A sedate run along Talbot West Road with only one emu spotted was followed by Qualen West Road and Cut Hill Road to reach York to meet up with Nannup Nick. A quick run to Spencers Brook was followed by Trimmmer Road, Eadine Road and Clackline to get to a packed Bakers Hill Bakehouse. Cornish Pasties were in short supply but not patched outlaw motorcyclists as the group refuelled for a deviation down Oyston and Inkpen Road before taking Hawke Avenue and Vineyard Road to get to Werribee Road and a run home through Chidlow and Mundaring.
Thanks to Firey Ross for acting as tail end Charlie and the support of the group to effect a quick fix to my tyre.
