Less than half of the normal mob attended coffee and chariots at Catalano’s this morning due to the Club Christmas Dinner and Peter Bee being on Christmas Island. Kenny made a great effort to get to Vic Park from York fronting up with an overnight bag on an airhead.
Seven riders straggled out through shady sections of the hills with one eye on a massive plume of smoke from Atlas Linen in Belmont. Rod Rocket Peter, Frank, Ray, Sophie, Ted, 2 Volts Pete and Bozo made hard work of staying as a group through the heavy traffic. We took Brian/5’s favourite deviation on Fern Road before a stop at No 1 Pump Station where we learned that Ted almost tore down the No 4 Pump Station for its bricks. A run on O’Brien Road was met with a police presence and a mass of other sports bikes. We stopped at the Gidgegannup Bakery to talk about migration before heading back through 38 degree heat to home.
Thanks to 2 Volts Pete for running as Tail End Charlie and Ray for helping with the herding.
