Thursday Ride 14 April Mojo

Three of us departed Ascot GJ at 07:45 for a ride up to Mojo’s this time via Kalamunda. On the way up ended up doing a loop around the new Bushmead sub-division as I could not find a separate exit. Then up through Gooseberry and Kalamunda to enter Mundaring Weir Road deviating with loop into Pauls Valley just to add a few more curves.

There were ten of us at Mojo’s. One started with a muffin with their coffee only to be copied. As there were no other destinations on offer the one suggestion of Goomalling was taken.

B/5 lead the ride with Ross as TEC. One had other commitments so could not join the ride, so eight riders, with one pillion headed off initially down Stoneville Rd to Reen, Reserve, Berry and on to Toodyay Road. Then down Lovers Lane ( which is now sealed), onto River, Folewood, Sandplain, Stirlingia and Racecourse before turning back on Toodyay Road. Then off towards Northam to enter Katrine and on to Goomalling Roads before turning into Southern Brook, Goomalling-Meckering Roads. Finally arriving at Goomalling Lot 39 Store & Café in time for lunch.

It's good to see the country side starting show signs of green. A nice cool day with little traffic gave ideal riding conditions. An enjoyable ride out with a balance of turns and open sections. The wildlife stayed off the road with only a fox being brave enough to cross in front of us.
What more can one ask for, good food, great company and a great day on the motorcycle.

After refreshments the group separated to head home via Toodyay. Two of us deviated via Salt Valley, Ferne then via back roads ending up turning on to the Great Eastern Hwy from Park Rd JFNP.
