14 riders assembled for a ride past the Police Incident to the RFDS at Jandakot. Cookie, Max, Brian/5, Nannup Nick, Survey Ross, Multimedia Mark, Graeme, Goldie, Ted, Murray, Wightman, Rod Rocket Peter, Peter Bee and Bozo took the unusual path of Kent Street and Centenary Road to get to Shelley for a waterfront meander. Survey Ross's wife was out walking the dog and snapped the mob as it filed past.
Assembling at Jandakot, stories about flying and pilots flew thick and fast. Brian/5 and Cookie managed to vaguely muster the mob for photos before a run around the back of the busiest general aviation airport in Australia.
8 riders took Jandakot Drive and Warton Road to pick up Liddelow Road before the normal run along Rowley Road to Naval Base. We lost Rod Rocket Peter at Rockingham Road. The rest continued on after a discussion on Penguins and Roses.
Arriving at Miami Bakehouse we were greeted by Goldie and club member, Ken Quartermaine.
The run home was via Dawesviile and the Peel Inlet. Stuck behind traffic we took a detour through Park Ridge. A very large fox was spotted right next to the road as we headed to Coolup. A run down Burnside Road was followed by the Corio Road, Hopelands Road and Lightbody Road run home.
Fantastic to be out with some light rain offset by great company. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.
