Hello Slackers,

Eps 6...

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, the Two Ronnies head toward the Mitchell River which is closed to all traffic due to flooding and the crossing being partly washed away. That means taking a by-pass which will involve stretching our fuel supply to breaking point. We encounter some deep patches of Bulldust which test's both of us and nearly resulted in our downfall. This Vid ends with what I thought was a catastrophic failure on the DR650.

Hello Slackers,
Eps 7...

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Heckle and Jeckle continue along the bypass which stretches our fuel range to the absolute limits, Tom has some running repairs to do on the fly and our GPS’s and Maps become redundant as we find ourselves disorientated on roads not marked. We eventually reach the Peninsular Development Road which will take us to our destiny; Patjinka, but not before we get separated and it’s every man for himself!

Hi Folks,
Eps 8...
Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Dumb and Dumber continue heading North but get separated for a second time but not before taking in the magnificent Fruit Bat Falls. Tom continues on the Ol’ Telegraph Track while Steve takes the more sensible option choosing to go on the Peninsular Development Road. Both have to cross the Jardine River (somehow) and meet later after Tom drowns his bike after completely submerging it in one of the creek crossings. He is also helped to portage the bike by 5 others who throw him a much needed lifeline!

Hi Folks,
The journey continues...

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Beavis and Butt-Head start the long journey home but they must detour to Cairns first to replace Tom’s worn out rear tyre. That involved passing thru a huge mix of landscapes and terrain including stunning Rainforests and negotiating a number of creek crossings, one of which nearly ended the trip for one Rider.

Hi Folks,
Eps 11...

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Batman and Robin start to head west along the Donahue Highway towards the Northern Territory Border and Alice Springs. Tom’s engine troubles continue and despite all efforts to rectify the fault, we are forced to make several unscheduled stops along the way in an attempt to resolve a constantly frustrating situation from getting worse.

Fantastic, even documenting the way spontaneous decisions are made on these types of rides. Better than the Melbourne Cup for entertainment and insights.

Thank you.

Can you smell that?

That's the smell of victory (or is it the milk going off). We are nearing the finish line. Next vid (Finalé) out on Friday.

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Bert and Ernie have left Alice Springs and end up on the Bogey Man of tracks…the Ernst Giles Road. After surviving that they resupply at Yulara only to find a stranded Adv Rider trying to hitch a ride to Docker River. They finally reach Great Central Road and with the sun to their backs, they continue heading West. Tragedy strikes 80 km East of Tjukarilya Roadhouse.

Hi Folks,

Final instalment of this epic journey - 12,000km and 28 days. Time to get some rest (from Editing).

Join Tom (DR650) and Steve (BMW R1200GSA) as they travel from the SW of Australia to the very most Northern point of the Australian Mainland at the Tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland all in the search for milk.

In this Vid, Abbot and Costello can smell victory in the air. They are only days away from returning to Perth and all they have to do is survive the next 48 hours. Seems easy enough! All that involves is limping over the finish line…if Tom’s bike will make it that is.

For the record, after we returned to Perth, Tom did a post mortem on his bike. The oil leak was as a result of the top engine mount being loose causing vibration on the Rocker cover causing it to fracture. Under pressure, oil seeped out. The constant engine misfire was as a result of a sticky needle and seat on the Carby and a fuel bowl full of Australia’s Outback fine red dust.. The engine is currently being rebuilt.
