Scarp Summer-Sault

Post by Bozo »

The forecast hot weather meant the Sunday ride moved into Summer mode with an assault on the shaded roads of the Darling Scarp from the Bickley to the Avon Valleys.

Nine riders headed out, Ted, Rainer, Wightman, Rob, R90s Mark, RT David, Nick, Peter Bee and Bozo.

We did a triple summer-sault through the Bickley Valley before a deviation on back roads to get to the edge of Sir John Forrest National Park. A sedate run on O'Brien and Reserve Roads was followed with a break at Gidgegannup for bakery items.

A simple run on Bunning Road, Mildura Road and Anketell Road got us heading back to Mundaring were the ride ended.

The temperature was not too bad and the group travelled very well together. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie and to Mark for his hard work in resolving his electrical fault before the ride.

Another great ride customised to suit the weather, thanks Bozo. Great company and sensible riding made my TEC job too easy. Great to see the Classic.
