The bonfire planned for the camp cook-off in September couldn't wait. Too risky from a weather perspective.
So the pile would need to be burned mid-week. After a few phone calls only two of us could make it.
Thursday provided perfect, beautiful weather for riding, and burning. Ordinarily I would avoid Albany Highway, but I was just cruising, enjoying the green lushness of our gorgeous South-West. It'll be brown soon enough.
Arriving only minutes before JD, near spot-on timing.
I'd only just parked the 1800 boxer, when I heard the diesel erupting. No mucking around our JD...


Jono and the local Volunteer Fire Service folks arrived and the bonfire roared. Safety first of course...

By evening, it was raging. Out came the BBQ and a selection of refreshments.



You could roast a sheep on a spit in that tunnel of heat...
