Trio of Cool Dams

A massive turnout this morning at Catalano's and Dome with Jamie dropping in from the Eastern States. 12 riders ping ponged between Churchman's Brook Dam, Canning Dam and Mundaring Weir. Duke David, David P, R90s Mark, R18 Peter, Graham, Bruce, Wightman, Nick, Richard, His Royal Griceness and Bozo stuck to shady roads and fortunately the temperature was mainly in the mid 20's. All dams were closed due to the excessive heat warning so we had to stop at Yule Du service station.

Passing Mundaring Weir, the group noticed a Subaru that had gone off road before being restrained by a stand of trees. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Easy enough to lose control if you drop a wheel onto the gravel shoulders.

A rare visit on the Sunday ride group to Dome Mundaring but the airconditioned venue was appreciated.

A hotter run home in the mid thirties across the coastal plain.
