B5 led bozo, astro rob, multimedia mark, Rainer Seel, Chris Grice, peter spencer, from gloria jeans up to mojos. We were joined at mojos by navigator nick, fiery ross, Vic, bill, profoundly disturbed and digger. So quite a large group of 13 and plenty of lively discussion ensued.
we departed mojos and after lots of lefts, rights and sweeping bends we made our way onto Obrien Road and through to Toodyay Road. Then a long loop around fernie road and onto lover’s lane for a gorgeous ride along the river’s edge.
Bit of a wait for the group at the end of lover’s lane as peter stopped to help Rainer Seel repair a punctured rear tyre.
A short stop in Toodyay and another long loop brought us into Northam and then onto baker’s hill for lunch.
Nice free flowing run down through the hills and into Hazelmere. This is where the day turned a bit ugly unfortunately for navigator nick. As we rode through a roundabout a young p plate driver decided to change lanes half way around. The result was that nick was clipped and thrown onto the road. Luckily this was a low speed accident as we were all being slow and cautious following a road train through the roundabout. I would estimate nick’s speed @ approx. 20kmh.
The roundabout was then rather chaotic as we had a parked car + 6 motorbikes and riders stationary on the road and volumes of traffic trying to pass. After a short time fortunately, Nick was able to stand and we all made our way across to safety and the middle of the roundabout. nick was complaining about a sore shoulder but after some discussion nick advised that he was ok to ride his bike and peter spencer volunteered to follow Nick home.

Took myself off to the ER that night. Broken scapula. Bummer. Can't ride. Now to get the bike repaired over the Xmas period. Not looking forward to that.

Thanks everyone around at the scene. Helping get the bike off me, standin me up, taking photos, getting details. You guys were fantastic and a credit. 🙂 Much appreciated by me.

Astro Rob has asked that I post these photos of Nick's Roundabout. Despite having a sore shoulder, later diagnosed as a broken scapula, Nick is able to give his typical smile.
