A big group at Gloria Jeans Ascot for a Peter Bee led run up the scarp to Mojos Mundaring to be greeted by Mick S and 3 Amps Nick. Ultimately, we had two Nicks, a Mick and a Vic in an epic group of 14. The group then headed off to Calingiri. – Chris’s Facebook

It was a baker’s dozen that joined the ride out. Due to the distance a fairly straight forward route was taken. It was the rat run out through Stoneville to Chidlow and onto Liberton & Needham to join Toodyay Rd. Then the usual Salt Valley, Katrine. It was down to dozen after one carried on home via Toodyay, then through Irish Town and on to Goomalling. A refuelling break for a few, with one of the bikes failing to proceed. After an injection of several hundred coulombs, we on the road again proceeding up the Goomalling-Calingiri Rd. One U-turn was required the save the majority from a dirt road. Although one commented that they needed more excitement than the sealed, you could always add wildlife if the dirt was not enough.
Our numbers slightly over whelmed the Calingiri Traders General Store, however it was only after short delay that all had their food & drink orders.

On the way up only, light rain was encounter in a few short bursts. The return trip for the majority was via New Norcia, Mogumber and Bindoon. Those that were hoping to refuel were out of luck as the service station was closed. So, we proceeded to the Chittering Roadhouse 10km further on. One found that their zero distance to empty is not absolute. Here the group split to made their own way home.

Another great day out riding and enjoying the scenery.
Thanks all for your great company and Peter for his TEC duties

Thanks B/5 for leading the large group on a very pleasant journey into the very green Wheatbelt now showing patches of yellow as the canola flowers emerge. Yes I agree that the power pack probably transferred several hundred coulombs to Steve’s battery, but not easy to calculate definitely.
