Five riders at GJ’s to take the standard route to Mojos where we joined another three. We had the pleasure of 3 Domites join us but as usual not all were venturing out into the warming wilderness. With the temps rising a short ride was voted as sensible with Toodyay Bakery our DDD.
So I led Nannup Nick, Lefty, 2 Volts and Fiery Ross out of Mundaring through Stoneville, Mt Helena and Chidlow out onto Toodyay Rd, Fernie Rd, Salt Valley, Sandplain, Folewood, River Rd and Julimar into Toodyay.
The Bakery was literally deserted as we got our tucker and drinks and agreed to sit at the tables out front with shade and a warm, but not oven like breeze. Temperature around 39 degrees but low humidity totally bearable. The home run was Lovers Lane , Toodyay Rd, and Roland Rd, GEH - too easy.
Only noticed the heat as we descended onto the Sandplain and 43 degrees popped up. Glad to be back to the A/C coolness of home and a cooling Coca Cola.
Thanks to all for joining me and special thanks to B/5 and Fiery Ross for TEC duties.
