B/5 was just about to leave Ascot Gloria Jeans and lead the other 10 riders to Mojos when Mick, at Mojos, advised that there was no power in Mundaring and advice was no power also in Toodyay.
A quick revised destination for the day was required so we all decided, DDD, that Dome Kelmscott was the revised morning meet spot with Brunswick Junction the new lunch stop.
We joined the workers on the Tonkin and headed south to Dome Kelmscott where our trusty Mick joined us. A total of 9 riders followed me on the “ traditional “ route down to Coolup for a break and then six riders continued onto Brunswick Junction through the twistiest route.
With a mild temperature of 28 degrees it was very pleasant sitting under the shaded verandah of the Brunswick Junction Bakery whilst Dave illuminated us on the issues with non qualified building contractors. Food and drinks were up to the usual high standard.
The return route was a reverse of the southern journey but included the Corio, Hopeland, Kargotich, Tonkin variation.
Thanks to all for joining me and accepting the revised destination and special thanks to Mick for his alert to no power and his TEC duties with the well lit 6 cylinder rocket ship.
