Re: Thursday September 11 MOJOS MUNDARING
Yes a spectacular day for a countryside tour. 8 at GJ’s, 17 at Mojos and 15 on the ride. The fine weather gets everybody off their lounge.
The DDD system worked as usual with my thought of Dowerin accepted by all. Much heavy thinking went into that.
Left Mojos and headed through Stoneville, Mt Helena and Chidlow and took the Lilydale, Breeze, Mayo Rds to arrive on Toodyay Rd heading out of town. Fernie, Salt Valley, Sandplain and Folewood Rds led us to our first break at the Toodyay lookout with a very green/yellow vista. Worthwhile deviation as some had not been there.
Straight run along the Toodyay to Goomalling Rd then onto Dowerin. The Dingo Café was our chosen eating place with new owners, now there since February, providing tasty quality good value food for the mob of 14.
We took the Meckering Rd, York, the Talbots, The Lakes, option on the home run.
All up 385km, no rain, 10 - 21 degrees perfect.
Thanks to all for super riding skills and special thanks to B/5 for his usual solid TEC performance.
