Upgraded pegs for 1200GS

Post by GSDisciple »

Looking to upgrade my foot pegs to something more comfortable and serviceable, especially when riding in the dirt.

Any suggestions?

Pivot Pegz are good.

I'm pretty sure Munich stock them.

Most problems can be solved with a suitable application of throttle!

Do you really need to add me to the list of people you already give the #%*@! to?

For as long as I can remember you have been giving Ben heaps about his 800GS and now that you have swapped over, we have to hear it all over again, only in reverse.

You are more annoying than a over weight reformed smoker who has just had lap band surgery.

BTW, Ken reckons they have as much character as a cordless drill!

Michael from Mottoradd has pivot pegs and some others ( I use the Stainless steel ones he sells) I don't really like the Pivots. He has just opened a warehouse and showroom in Briggs st

The pegs will make some difference, I found that by pulling the rubbers out was heaps better. I spend a LOT of time on the pegs when I ride, so changed the pegs to a better platform.

If you need a wider foot peg  the pivot pegz are the best because they allow you to change gears and operate the brake when standing up while riding. I have had them for 5 years on the Hp2 and I don't think there is another better off road foot peg.

Ditto.

JP - if you're thinking of buying Pivots, the Mark 3 version was released in the last 6 months or so and is slightly wider (front to back) than the Mk2... and RRP is approx $20 - $30 more.
