Back from sunny Queensland and excited about the border run, please indicate your intention to tag along well in advance, leaving Perth / Mandurah, Thursday 4th for house at Hopetoun, Friday to camp at Ninety Mile straight, Saturday Border, Sunday head West camp along the way, and arrive home Monday 8th in time to scrub up before the BMW meeting.
I have a growing list of people wanting to join Goldie and I on the Southern route and will converse by email with the chosen ones before hand, send me a private message with your contact details and I will add you to the circulation list.
Cookie got to stay with you thursday night my relatives have moved from down there.We all should go to the local pub for a counter tea and a.couple of beers hope it is in walking distance.Let me know if that is ok. Goldie

Im thinking of going home via the coast road over 2 days, leaving around 6am sunday morning and getting to perth, monday mid afternoon, ill be staying at Peak Charles National Park, where ive have already phone and is allowed to camp with a small camp fire, ($11.00 for the night). We are back, Neville and I rolled in just before 1 today, what fantastic weather, 3100km under the belt and loved every minute, the RT performed flawlessly on and off road despite heckling from Ayhab.
To add a bit of context to Old Betsy's last post, on Sunday we left Border Village at 8.00am and rode for nine hours. Stayed at Madura Sunday evening - you do the maths.......
Pis-----ed of didn;t get there the bike played up that bad just kept stoping back fireing or stoping all together,took me nearly 2 days to get home.I have got another
engine managment computer coming, hope that fixes the problem. Up untill saturday morning it was an excellent ride with good company around the southern route and thanks to Cookie for the use of his familys house in Hopetoun

Has to be the highlight of the trip for me it certainly was an adventure lol.
Thanks to JP, Mike and Tom for making it so memorable. I loved every minute.
