LONG WEEKEND Sat27th-Mon29th SEPTEMBER

A camping weekend at Lake Dumbleyung is planned for the Long Weekend on 27th to 29th September.
Several members showed interest at the last meeting. There is a map in the last newsletter, for those who have not been before.

You will need to bring your own everything, including water.

I will be departing Farrell's at 9:ooam Saturday 27th, for those wanting to join the ride down.
It is about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour ride, with about 9 k's of good gravel from the Dumbleyung-Kataning Road, and then about 2k's of farm track into the campsite, which is sandy clay.
Road bikes should have no problems, if care is taken.

This event is a family weekend, bring Mum and the kids, in the car if you like.

THIS IS NOT THE "BLACK DUCK RALLY", IT IS JUST A QUIET WEEKEND AWAY.

I am a new member based in Bunbury and was thinking of joining you at Lake Dumbleyung.

I hope that it is not too late to do so?

It would appear that it is a spartan campsite going by your notice and that everything one requires needs to be carted in?

I hope to see you down there. We will be arriving around Midday Saturday, but others may get there earlier.
It can be really cold, bring warm stuff.
