Ok so my previous few rides up Dale Road ended up with a few ....err.... problems - running out of fuel with Dean on one trip, the next trip Bill broke his leg and the next one after that Marco broke his wrist.
So today Coos, Mike, Tom, Toni and headed up to do a few miles around Dale Road. Slippery and dry. We clocked up about 140 km without a problem. The curse was broken!!!!
That was until Tom got back to the bitumen and then he declared that he had a flat. DAMN
Next Time Ken, Next Time mate,Don't give up.................You can do it..........Well I think you can?????
Cheers

"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
Alright then Ken I'll break out the 510 on Sunday and go for a squirt. Clyde can bring that useless arab out for a run as well ( C'mon Mike ) see if you can make it and beyond, catch me if you can
Either way, how about a "nursery trail" for us neewbies wishing to grow our off road competence on a ride this Sunday?. Sort of a training day to "enjoy the great outdoors". ??
If it's planned and posted, folk can come dressed appropriately, fuelled up and ready to rock.

Any takers??
what are you after ? just some nice gentle dirt road stuff to break you in gentle ( can I say "break " if Ken's involved ? ) or a bit of trail and dirt road ??
OI......whats with the fueled up crack?? John, has recently superseded me as the "run out king" .....
I am looking at some "light" introductory stuff (so Ken will have to be at the back... so as to get to know what the bike (and me) can do without any broken bones
Sounds like a good idea, how about it intrepid Ken? or anybody else for that matter. Just keep it simple, those GS 1200 bikes are expensive to repair. Also Dakar Rally is on at the moment always a bit of an inspiration for dirt riding in that one. Time to lift the dirt riding skills of the club members I think it would be a good idea.
See you on Sunday. I better leave Di at home just in case.
After having a chat with Davey, if you are interested, I'm heading out on Sunday after brekkie to do a loop around Mundaring.
Ashendon rd, Mt Dale, Old Dale rd, River rd and then up the hill to Tablelands rd, Surveyors and then find the way back to Mundaring Weir Hotel to wash the dust out.
All easy stuff, on a 1 - 10 scale, maybe a 3-4. My sidecar is still in with Vince otherwise I'd take that. All levels of riders welcome to follow me.
