RIDE ON SUNDAY 15-1
Re: RIDE ON SUNDAY 15-1
Bully... you're a bad bad man ... some of those rutted inclines near Mt Dale are, umm, errr, not the first place I'd take people to 'try out' their GS/GSA's. But no doubt they'll be better for the experience though. Were there any complaints at the time? And all that colour coordination... wow Joking aside, well done to everybody. Good to see so many prepared to get their machines dirty and thumbs up to Bully for organising.
Where was I?? ...well I was in the shed polishing my bashplate (think Ted Bullpitt)
Bully... would you be interested in going halves with me in putting together an easy overnighter for this mob to the Caves Hill area after Easter? (not sure if you've set up the DR-Z for distance)

Re: RIDE ON SUNDAY 15-1
Yeah Bully, you're a bad man
You and your cronies (henchmen/ ex GS riders ) collecting and shepherding another group of innocent (read dumbass) GS/GSA riders onto the sacrificial altar (deep ruts and washaways) to deflower before the BMW gods (read BMW Parts Managers ) in the death throes of spinning tyres, clouds of flying grit and gravel, only to succumb to the inevitable result of horizontalness, (aka gravity) in a cloud of dust to the immortal words of the GS/GSA rider...F**K it,.....she goin' over....FARK!!!! this ritual followed by some applause, and some smirking from those who knew....(mainly GS riders that came along on "chook chasers" leaving their magnificent beasts unbridled at home in the stable, or ex GS riders who had learnt their lesson and would be never found upon a GS ever again !!) .
Walking slowly today with bits of me a little sore and re-living every minute of yesterdays exploits in the great outdoors, roosting here and there and eating a few kilo's of dust, washing out and drying my riding gear, cleaning the bike with a cold beer and now eagerly looking forward to the next adventure, telling anyone at work who would listen about the "thrills and spills" with me mates yesterday....
Geezz, I had a ball........

Darkin Ridge Road is the closest I can figure to where many of us parked up as Bully only would mention roads that sounded flat and scenic ..Tableland Road, Dale Road etc.
We did spend two minutes on Ashendon Road coming from Weston Road to Mount Dale.

Hey Ken everyone got home with no broken bones or flat tyres and as stated we did ride Ashendon Rd for about 500metres. The course that we rode both you and Toni have done on your DR's once before, however in hindsight the hill has suffered a lot more erosion since last time I went up it.

Re: RIDE ON SUNDAY 15-1
Does anyone actually have any photos of me upright ?
It's boring seeing all these photos of me horizontal (sleeping)

See the tasting notes for D'Arenberg Pinot Noir "Feral Fox" 2008...a wine from the hills.
As the wine (throttle) opens up the floral character changes to underlying forest floor and a potpourri earthiness that adds an extra dimension (to a ride on safe easy roads).
I think we have found a new name for the Silver Pig....Davey's Feral Fox.

Re: RIDE ON SUNDAY 15-1
big fat pigs lying in the dust, and the bikes have fallen over too.
Next time we'll do a few skills on the flat then put you up the hill to see if you've improved.
